Hi! I’m Kate.
I am an architect based in Dripping Springs, Texas. Our ethos is people and planet.
I believe everyone deserves to live and work in well-designed, thoughtful spaces.
For me, design begins with people. Before plans, before materials, before square footage — I listen. Understanding how you move through your day. What matters most now, and what might matter five, ten, or twenty years from now.
Empathy sits at the heart of the process. Good design is not about imposing an aesthetic — it’s about uncovering the right solution. It’s creative problem solving rooted in human needs.
I also believe we have a responsibility to protect this planet and the people who call her home. Sustainability is not a feature layered onto a project; it is a lens through which every decision is made — from orientation and daylight to insulation, materials, and long-term performance.
For more than 20 years, I have been fortunate to build a career at the intersection of thoughtful design and environmental stewardship. My work is grounded in the belief that architecture should serve both the people who inhabit it and the world it inhabits.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Washington in Seattle and a Master of Architecture with a specialization in sustainable design from the University of Texas at Austin. I am a licensed architect in the State of Texas and a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP).
I am an architect, an environmentalist, a paddler, a runner, photographer, and aspire to cause good trouble. I live just outside of Austin, Texas, with my family and two adorable pups. But I’ve been working remotely for almost 15 years, so even if you aren’t in Texas, don’t hesitate to reach out.
